How Flutterwave Store Came About.

How to Create Flutterwave Account
This past year has been quite difficult for people and businesses worldwide due to the pandemic. The businesses with any online presence faced greater loss than the rest.
Thankfully, things are getting better. But one thing is sure, as someone who has a product to sell you’ve to make solid plans. Especially one that makes life easier for both you and your clients and this is where I come in…well, technically Flutterwave Store.
Okay, let’s briefly talk about Flutterwave and the reasons why you should open a Flutterwave store.
What is Flutterwave?

Flutterwave Logo
You’ve probably heard about Flutterwave and may even have an account already. But not to make assumptions here’s a brief history of who they’re.
Flutterwave Inc is an online payment service network that makes it easy for your customers to make payments and for you to receive payment from anywhere in the world.
Aside from that, you can also pay for DSTV and airtime subscription, create payment links for your clients, view a list of customers who’ve worked with you, make transfers (or spend your money directly from your Flutterwave account), and several other cool stuff.
But, before you can open a Flutterwave store you need to create a Flutterwave account.
What You Need to Know About Flutterwave Store.
The Flutterwave team realized something critical during the pandemic and this was that a lot of SMEs didn’t have an online presence. Which is as you know is a very important must-have if any business plans to survive the pandemic.
So they came up with a solution. One that everyone in the business of selling can make use of. A masterpiece called Flutterwave Store.
Flutterwave Store allows you to do what you do best (which is either to create badass products or sell products made by other people…FYI, still badass!) while your current and prospective clients enjoy what you’ve to offer.
This means neither you nor your clients need to bother about having payment issues.
All they’ve to do is visit your online store, add products to the cart, and place orders…capice!
Awesome stuff, right?
But How Exactly Does a Flutterwave Store Work?
Basically, Flutterwave store is just like a brick ‘n’ mortar store, the only difference is that your store is online and there’s no waiter/ attendee to show your customers the way around the store.

But, that’s not an issue, you know why?
When your customers visit your online store they get to see what you sell at first glance, place orders, and get the items they paid for delivered to the address they choose.
This means you don’t have to send a message or call to confirm the order and your clients don’t need to ask you to send the images of your products or a list of the products you sell to decide on what they want to buy…Because EVERYTHING is there already!
Just as when you buy a product from marketplaces like Jumia, Konga, Alibaba, or Amazon. But the difference is, these guys own a big public space and they rent a portion of these spaces to online merchants like you.
So what happens is Flutterwave allows you to buy your own space.
Your customer can specifically search for your store online without having to go through a list of other online stores on Flutterwave.
Everything is personalized, owning a Flutterwave Store is like owning an e-commerce site only difference is you don’t need to be a web developer or tech-savvy person.
Honestly, my four-year-old niece could probably run a Flutterwave store! HAHA

You sell more when you show more. Don’t be stingy with your product images. Most people enjoy window-shopping in physical stores and the same goes for online stores too.
If you’ve thirty products to sell, showcase all of them. You’re creating awareness by doing this and giving room for more sales. It’s all about the shmoney really! Haha…
Individual Product Link.
Current customers and prospects can easily share links of a product they like or buy from your store to their friends or followers on social media. Also, they can send direct links to products in your store.

Delivery Note.
If you sell jerseys, keyholders, cups, or products that may need customization, you’re probably wondering how your customers would make such requests through your Flutterwave store, right?
Well, all they need to do is write what they want and send notes alongside their orders.

If you’re a baker or a food vendor this option would serve you well too. Customers can easily state their preferences without having to call you or reach out to you on social media after placing orders via your Flutterwave store.
Discount Codes.
Shopify defines discount codes as codes that your customers enter during the checkout process to redeem a specific offer. They’re a tried-and-true way to offer discounts to the right people, whether that’s everyone on your email list or a specific segment like new subscribers or repeat customers.
Flutterwave allows you to either generate discount codes or make use of custom ones for your customers. Women’s day is fast approaching and you may decide to celebrate your female clients by gifting them with something special…discounts!!!

Screenshot of How to use Flutterwave Store “Discount”
For customized discount codes you can use a particular name, phrase, or a combination of letters and numbers, for example, “SheStrong08”.
There are three discount types and you can make use of anyone you like. There are a fixed amount, percentage, and free shipping.
Fixed amount means you can offer a specific amount of the purchase, for example, your Flutterwave store can offer $5 of the products you sell and all your customer needs to do is apply the code when they want to checkout.
And the percentage is just like the fixed amount the only difference is that you make use of percentage, for example, Reign Paint is offering their client a 10% discount code off all orders placed before Feb 28th, 2021.
I left the best for last, free-shipping…why is it the best? it offers a service for FREE! Honestly, everyone loves freebies.
If you want to make use of this option there should be a catch…for example, you can require that the customers spend a certain amount of money before they can access free shipping.
But you may have to experiment with various price rates to see what works. Just make sure the one you pick is reasonable.
